visited eun-bi's grandma's funeral yesterday... and the day before as well...
a typical korean funeral usually lasts for 2 nights 3 days where visitors can come by anytime during that period to pay their respects and have a good time w/ friends and family. There's an unlimited supply of food and booze so people tend to get really rowdy, which i heard is a good thing because it takes away from the grimness of the funeral and supposedly makes the spirit of the deceased happy(I could be wrong of course). anyways, i got a chance to talk and meet up w/ several good friends that i haven't had a chance to catch up with for quite a while. Eun-bi was in a good mood and was doing okay considering she slept for about 5 hours for the past 3 or 4 days. everyone had a good laugh and a good time... well into the wee hours of the night haha (today's friday so it's alright)..... ironic that it was someone dying that was the catalyst for so much laughter for us.
